5 ways to get motivation for study

How to get motivation for study

Welcome to the readers, this articles covers the unique approaches to improve motivation for studies which you may not find from any other resources. This is because they are mainly based on the my experience as an student. The key important approaches/ ways to remain motivated towards studies are:

1. Assume that you have missed the lecture that you are about to cover at the time of studying:

During your study period, which is usually a month or two months before the examinations, assume that you have missed the instructor-led lecture of the topic you are about to cover. This would help in enhancing the focus towards that topic because as per your assumption, failure to do so would let the related topic uncovered and this would also help in avoiding the feeling that I have already covered that topic pretty well.

2.  Attractive study material and stationary:

It is one of the most important step to encourage your motivation towards studies. This is because the Register/ Notebook with "Dull" pages and color would discourage you and would naturally make the easy and interesting topic unnecessarily less interesting and probably hard. This is also applied to other related stationary items including the use of Highlighters, Spiral Notebooks, Calculators, Sticky notes and others. According to my experience these steps although incurs some costs but they worth the costs since they help you retaining the focus. It has also to be recognized that all the costs towards studies are an investment that will eventually realize in the future.

3.  Have a conversation with the lecturer:

This is also an important step that many students don't consider important. It is  because regular and frequent conversation with your mentor will not only help you resolve any query earlier but it would also boost your confidence as an student because you will consider yourself in a better position than other students who don't interact with the mentor (remember I am not talking in the sense of superiority). Moreover, it also helps in developing the vocabulary used in different professions, this is due to the fact that your mentor having a significant experience will of course use jargon s in his/ her conversations with you that are commonly used among your relevant profession and thus you would be the beneficiary of the conversation that many students who don't interact missed.

4.  Avoid Procrastination:

Procrastination is the root of failures. It based on the belief that "Do Tomorrow What You Can Do Today". In this regard the following statement must have to be memorized to reduce the chances of procrastination that is "It is better to wear out than to rust out". It means that each sun rise gives equal opportunities to every individual and it solely depends on how you make an effective use of the opportunities between the sun rise till the rise of moon.

5.  Break the wall gradually:

It is an essential element and it is probably the long term remedy to increase motivation. This is because syllabus is designed for the specified period of time. Accordingly, studying near exams would require quite huge efforts as compared to taking daily "Bites of Chunks". Although, there may be students that became successful with the Exam Time study approach, but at the same time it is definitely not recommendable for every student.
